Event Description: Maple Fall Fest at Pocono Mountain Maple

Celebrate the season at the Maple Fall Fest on October 13th at Pocono Mountain Maple! This festive day is packed with fall-themed activities, delicious maple treats, and opportunities for the whole family to explore and enjoy our beautiful property.

Event Highlights:

• Explore Our Property: Wander through our scenic grounds, take in the autumn colors, and discover all that Pocono Mountain Maple has to offer. Visit our maple store to shop for a variety of maple products and taste our delicious syrups.
• Maple Chili Cook-Off: Join or watch the excitement of our Maple Chili Cook-Off! For $65, contestants receive two bottles of our maple syrup to be used in their chili recipes. Spots are limited, so sign up soon for your chance to win the $500 cash prize. Attendees can sample all the chilis and vote for their favorite by 5:30 PM.
• Fall-Themed Festivities: Enjoy a range of fun fall activities including apple picking in our orchard, making your own apple cider, face painting, relay games, bobbing for apples, and a pumpkin painting contest. Capture the memories with our picturesque photo ops scattered throughout the farm.

Admission Details:

• Chili Contest Entry Fee: $65 per contestant (includes 2 bottles of maple syrup) Winner recieves $500 cash prize  (We need at least five contestants to move forward with this part of the festival. If you register but we don't meet the minimum requirement, we will reach out to you directly.)
• General Admission: $15 per person, or take advantage of our special deal of 5 people for $50. This includes entry only into the festival and samples of all the chilis, with the option to purchase a full bowl of your favorite!

Registration and Tickets: Register early for the Maple Chili Cook-Off as spots are limited. Purchase your general admission tickets in advance to secure the special group rate. 

 Maple Chili Cookoff Rules 

1. Maple Syrup Requirement: All chili recipes must incorporate Pocono Mountain Maple syrup. Contestants can choose from the following flavors: Bourbon, Original, Cinnamon Vanilla, or Elderberry. Each contestant will receive two bottles of maple syrup, which must be picked up from our store prior to the event.
2. Cooking Setup: Contestants are required to bring their own cooking equipment. Please note that electricity is available to keep chili warm, however chili must be cooked offsite unless you have a portable rig. Each contestant is responsible for keeping their chili warm throughout the event.
3. Preparation and Heating: Limited space is available to heat your chili in the pavilion kitchen. The first few people to register will have this option. Please note that the pavilion kitchen is located a short drive away from the sugar shack, where the cookoff will take place.
4. Chili Presentation: Each contestant should bring their chili ready to serve to the attendees, who will act as the judges. Ensure that your setup allows for easy serving and that your chili remains at a safe temperature for consumption.
5. People’s Choice Voting: The winner of the Maple Chili Cookoff will be determined by a people's choice vote. Attendees will sample each chili and cast their vote for their favorite. Make sure to engage with the crowd and encourage them to try your chili.
6. Clean-Up: Contestants are responsible for cleaning their cooking area and disposing of any waste. Please leave your space as you found it.
7. Safety and Compliance: Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all participants and attendees. Ensure that your cooking setup complies with local regulations.
8. Registration and Participation: To confirm your participation, please purchase a maple chili contestent ticket. Pickup of the maple syrup bottles and any additional instructions will be provided upon registration.
