FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What age groups are educational tours best suited for? Our educational tours are designed primarily for upper elementary students (Grades 3–5) and are ideal for hands-on learning in science, agriculture, ecology, and outdoor education. We can also accommodate Grades 2–8 depending on group size, educational goals, and supervision requirements. Because the experience includes guided walking throughout the property and rotating educational stations, we recommend contacting us to discuss the best fit for younger groups.
How long does an educational tour last? Most educational visits last approximately 90–150 minutes, depending on group size, station rotations, lunch schedules, and selected activities.
What do students learn during the experience? Students explore the journey from tree to table through topics including maple production, forest ecology, sustainability, agriculture, seasonal cycles, and local food systems—all through guided, interactive experiences.
Do students receive tastings? Yes! Educational visits include a guided maple tasting experience where students can sample and learn about maple products.
Can you accommodate large school groups? Yes. We designed our educational tours to support larger groups through guided station rotations, allowing students to stay engaged while moving throughout the property.
Is lunch space available? Depending on scheduling and group size, outdoor gathering and lunch areas may be available during your visit.
Are teachers and chaperones included? Teachers and approved chaperones are welcome to participate and help support student groups throughout the experience.
Are waivers required? Yes. Participation forms and waivers are required for students and accompanying adults prior to arrival.
